The new MOVIFIT® system combines the established advantages of SEW-EURODRIVE decentralized installation technology with modern, application-oriented drive and communication functions.

Demands on materials handling technology
For years now, the components from SEW-EURODRIVE's decentralized drive system have been proving how compact and modular a decentralized system structure can be in diverse applications. Nevertheless, drive engineering requirements are becoming increasingly demanding even in this field. The following are examples of some of the demands made on materials handling technology:

SEW-EURODRIVE accepted the challenge to develop a new decentralization concept: The new MOVIFIT® system. MOVIFIT® meets today's expectations of plant manufacturers and operators:

Features of MOVIFIT® MC
  • Up to three MOVIMOT®s may be connected via hybrid cable
  • Voltage range 3 x 380–500 V
  • Integrated power distribution and line protection
  • Integrated communication interface
  • Optional maintenance switch
  • "Safe stop" function by deactivation of 24 V (MOVIMOT® supply)
  • Stop categories 0 and 1 acc. to EN 60204-1
  • Safety category 3 acc. to EN 954-1
  • 12 digital inputs + 4 digital inputs/outputs
  • CAN / SBus interface
  • Optional connection of sensors/actuators via external standard I/O boxes

Features of MOVIFIT® SC
  • Electronic (contactless) motor starter
    • When connecting 2 motors (dual starter) -> one direction of rotation
    • When connecting 1 motor (reversing starter) -> two directions of rotation
  • Power range
    • When connecting 2 motors -> 2 x 0.37 to 2.2 kW (0.50 to 3.0 hp)
    • When connecting 1 motor -> 1 x 0.37 to 4.0 kW (0.50 to 5.4 hp)
  • Voltage range 3 x 380–500 V
  • Increased safety by switching of three phases
  • Integrated energy distribution
  • Integrated brake management for SEW three-wire brakes (400 V)
  • Control output for external brake control
  • Optional maintenance switch

  • Integrated brake management for SEW three-wire brakes (400V, 230V, 110V)
  • Control output for external brake control
  • Optional internal braking resistor (integrated in ABOX)
