Particular attention is also paid at SEW-EURODRIVE to the ecological sustainability of buildings. An excellent example of this is the ultramodern assembly plant, which opened in February, 2009 in Chennai in southern India. It was built in line with the global philosophy at SEW-EURODRIVE to set environmental standards for new investments.

In times of scarce raw materials and increasing CO₂ pollution of the atmosphere, particular importance is placed on the efficient handling of valuable resources and a balanced environmental audit. Both demands are met by the new industrial gear unit plant from SEW-EURODRIVE at the German location Bruchsal, which should holistically reduce environmental pollution.
